This is going to be a series of 10 tips, but for starters I’ll give you guys two tips.
Get legal, or you’ll get cheated.
You need to find wholesale suppliers that will sell at cheap prices, so you can make a profit. You NEED to form a legal business if you are serious about this. You need a sales tax ID in order to buy from real wholesale suppliers. You will find a lot of scams out there that make it seem easy. They will claim that they are wholesalers, but don’t require a tax ID. When there is no Tax ID, this is how you know they are simply a middleman that is knocking up the prices. This is how they make money, not you. It is actually very easy to start a REAL business, and doesnt take long.
Many Wholesalers Won’t Work with online sellers.
A lot of people that sell online are under the false impression that vendors need them to make the sales. Real wholesalers (not the scammers), have many good reasons to avoid working with online sellers. Real wholesalers spend most of there time simply dealing with large account. It takes some effort to set up an account with a small retailer, and more retailers end up failing because they lack education. The sales reps at wholesale companies work for commission so you may not necessarily be worth their time and effort. Also, a lot of product manufacturers don’t even want their products sold online.
